Our Pastor
David B. Carpenter
Pastor Carpenter is a native of Mobile, Alabama. He is married to the love of his life, Angela. They have three children, Sara, William, and David. The Carpenters have been married for 27 years.
As a fifteen-year-old teenager, David received Jesus Christ as his Saviour at a revival meeting held at his home church in Mobile. After a short period of time away from God, he felt the call to ministry and surrendered to be a preacher.
He is a graduate of the prestigious University Military School in Mobile and started his ministry training at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, AL. He later transferred to Hyles-Anderson College in Crown Point, IN. Pastor Carpenter is a 1993 graduate of Hyles-Anderson College.
He has served in the following ministry capacities: youth pastor and pastor within the United Methodist church; staff member at the First Baptist Church of Hammond, IN; church planter and pastor of the Gulf Coast Baptist Church of Mobile, AL; associate pastor of the Pleasantville Baptist Church in Pleasantville, IA; and pastor of the First Baptist Church of Cahokia, IL. His newest venture for Christ is the establishment of Gateway Baptist Church of Greater St. Louis. Pastor Carpenter's experience spans 30 years.
Pastor Carpenter has also traveled extensively as a youth speaker and is regularly asked to preach in regional Bible conferences.
